Music, Entertainment and a Sporting Spectacular Easter Saturday in Lisburn
This Easter Saturday, 7th April the adrenalin filled International Circuit of Ireland Rally is back in Lisburn with its Exciting Power Stage. In the build up to the rally Castle Gardens will come alive with a host of free activities children, families, lovers of music and motor sport from 12-4pm.
The live music stage will be MC’d by up and coming comedian Shane Todd and will feature performances by Silhouette, Payola, Jukebox Jurors and Pretty Cartel. Rising star Shauna Tohill of Silhouette recently performed with Snow Patrol at the MTV European Music Awards and her song ‘Can’t Keep Up’ provides the soundtrack to the current NI 2012 our time, our place TV adverts. Each of the bands offer something a little different and will create a fantastic soundtrack to the afternoon.
The amazing Trialstar motorcycle and BMX stunt show will be performing their spectactular stunts throughout the day. Their show involves the very best of motorcycle and bicycle arena trials specialists performing amazing feats of bravery riding over cars, jumps and negotiating a few mind-boggling obstacles. If that is not enough, the riders are amazingly skilled entertainers who thrive on giving a fantastic show .
There will also be lots to keep the kids entertained with arts and crafts workshops, Children’s Fun Fair amusements & inflatables, Easter hunt, chocolate give-aways, entertainers face painters and balloon modellers. And it’s all FREE!
The main event of course is the Donnelly Group Circuit of Ireland Rally which takes place next to Castle Gardens on Queen’s Road. Starting at 4pmthe Lisburn Power Stage will see competitors race through a 1km stage finishing at Lisburn City Council’s Lagan Valley Island, in a rallying spectacular that will again present incredible public viewing.

Pretty Cartel The new boys on the indie scene in belfast hail from lisburn and have been quietly gigging in and around there home town. This indie rock band recently performed at the Cool Britannia night in Belfast playing covers of the Beatles to Oasis as well as a few tunes of their own.
Jukebox Jurors are a five piece covers band playing live music at parties from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s right through to the present day giving their audience the ultimate party performance, whatever their music taste.
Payola are a local rock band who have been on the scene over the past decade. The band has a large following in Northern Ireland performing regular gigs at Hagues Bar in Lisburn and the Empire in Belfast. They can also boast supporting Status Quo and Audio Slave on their Irish tours.
Silhouette is the vision and work of a passionate Northern Irish songstress – Shauna Tohill. Her main focus is to inspire, touch and mend the hearts of anyone who is drawn in to listen. Silhouettes music is a breath of fresh air combining different musical elements and instrumentation – drawn from Tohill’s eclectic taste and experiences. It is high energy alternative pop laced with flavours of darkness, hope and desire. It MUST be experienced!! Shauna performed at City Hall with Snow Patrol at the MTV EMA and her single ‘Cant keep up currently provides the soundtrack to the NITB 2012 advertising campaign. Silhouette are on the up and are not to be missed.
